Late Cancellation Policy
At Stryv, we understand that sometimes unexpected events can occur. However, to ensure fairness and respect for our tutors' time and commitments, we have established a Late Cancellation Policy for all scheduled tutoring sessions, both in-person and online. Please review the details below to understand how this policy applies to you.
1. Cancellation Window for Clients and Tutors
- Clients and tutors must cancel or reschedule a session at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
2. Late Cancellation Fee / Compensation
- Late Cancellation Fee: If a client cancels or reschedules within 24 hours of the scheduled session, a fee equivalent to 30% of the session cost will be charged to the client. Furthermore, the tutor will receive the same amount in addition to their income for the package.
- Client Compensation: If a tutor cancels or reschedules a lesson within 24 hours of the scheduled session, the client will receive a credit equivalent to 30% of the session rate. The client credit will be applied as a discount on the client’s current or next package. Additionally, the same amount will be deducted from the tutor's income for the package.
3. Exceptions
- Cancellations due to emergencies, such as illness or other unforeseen circumstances, may be exempt from this fee. Clients and tutors should notify us as soon as possible to discuss such situations.
4. Frequent or Unreasonable Cancellations
- If cancellations become frequent or are deemed unreasonable by our management team, we may need to reassess the client's booking status and take appropriate action.
5. Applicability
- This policy applies to all tutoring sessions, whether conducted in-person or online. In addition, the affected party cancelled or rescheduled on must have a consistent history of timeliness and organization (determined by the management team) in order for the policy to apply. We aim to maintain consistency and fairness across all types of sessions.
